We are pleased to share an important update from the Čierny Váh pumped-storage power plant in Slovakia.
The installation of the new turbine unit has now been completed, and the project is moving into the commissioning phase. Čierny Váh is the largest pumped-storage power plant in Slovakia and plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the country's power grid. The modernization of the plant will help ensure its reliable operation for many years to come.
As part of the project, Litostroj supplied a new runner for generating unit TG5. The runner has a diameter of 2,650 mm and an output of 122 MW.

The installation took place directly inside the existing powerhouse, requiring careful coordination of the individual installation steps and close cooperation between the teams on site.
With the installation now complete, commissioning can begin. During this phase, the new equipment will be tested and the complete generating unit gradually brought into operation.

It is great to see another important stage of the project completed and to know that the new equipment will soon be ready to support the continued operation of one of Slovakia's most important pumped-storage facilities.
Thank you to everyone involved in the project for the cooperation and commitment throughout the installation phase.
